First of all... love the colorful drawing! Was that done by Clara? I too am a perfectionist. I assumed it’s because I am the daughter of alcoholics (that’s what I had always heard). But maybe it’s a genetic thing ;)? However, since having a child, I have resolved to an “it’s good enough” mindset. Because as a working parent and spouse and business owner and volunteer and....there is only so much energy you can give to to all the people and responsibilities that are required to live as your best self!

Perfectionism is indeed a kind of curse... Over the years I've had to learn to stop monitoring how other people were doing things, that even if I didn't have the time or energy to clean something to my "standards", not cleaning it at all just leads to serious domestic disaster, and forgetting something, say, an important ingredient, is unfortunate, but not the end of the world and not worth a moment of negative energy beating myself up over. I say "perfect" a lot, too, to clients confirming appointment times, etc. It's probably time to make sure that's, "great" instead...
